Humidity Control, Germicidal Lights, Ventilation, Air Cleaners/Filtration
The EPA ranks indoor air pollution among the top 5 risks to public health.
Improve the quality of indoor air in your home and extend the life of your heating and cooling system with a wide selection of indoor air quality products. You may need a dehumidifier to remove moisture, or a fan to replace fresh air with stale indoor air, an air filter to clean and remove pollutants from indoor air, or even an ultraviolet light to eliminate germs and bacteria from your indoor air… you’ll find them all at Adam’s Air Conditioning and Heating.
What type of filter should I use?
Standard furnace filters work well to keep your HVAC system and its ductwork clean, but they don’t really improve indoor air quality. To do that, you need a media filter.
The media filter rests between the main return duct and the fan cabinet and improves dust and particle removal by seven times that of a standard furnace filter. Upgrading to a pleated media filter removes everything from insecticide dust to airborne viruses from the filtered air.
A media filter can have a lifespan in excess of two years, and its only downside is that its dense fiber fabric can make your furnace have to work harder to blow air through the house. Always choose a filter that matches your fan’s capacity.
